flash fiction contest

Share a piece of short creative writing for the opportunity to get published on the site and or win a cash prize! This is a quarterly contest that rotates with the featured writing. Now accepting submissions year long!​​

Guidelines

• Character Limits: 1500 words

• All entries must be original work. Works may be submitted to other competitions but cannot already be published.

• Works must be submitted by deadline.

• Works must be creative fiction prose and may be of any genre. Poetry, personal essay, memoir, and/or creative nonfiction will not be considered for the contest, but can be submitted for the magazine's primary publication.

• Work cannot have been submitted previously to the magazine. A work submitted in the fiction category for publication is not eligible for being additionally submitted to the contest, even if the word count is 1500 or less.

• The author must be aged 14-20.

Awards

The author of the winning submission will receive $20 via gift card. Only one author will be published.​
